Prince of Peace Lutheran Church -- Traverse City, Michigan
Welcome to Prince of Peace!
Greetings and welcome in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ,
During this pandemic worship times have been jumbled. We are now settled on the following plan.
Let us not give up meeting together as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another and all the more as we see the Day approaching.
I capitalized the Day. We understand this Day written about by the writer to the Hebrews to be Judgment Day, the end of the world. I think we can all say with confidence that the Day is approaching (Scripture tells us it is). Now is the time for encouragement. We are to encourage one another. How? By meeting together to hear the Word of God, to build each other up with mutual support, to grow in faith and good deeds. In this way Jesus prepares us for that glorious day.

We are asking if you are planning on attending a Sunday worship service that you reserve a spot by calling Maureen Butler at 614-313-6882 or email at reenbean52@Yahoo.com by Saturday. The goal is to keep the services at around 25 due to the new MDHHS mandate.
Sunday School is going virtual only through Dec. 6. Watch for emailed links to the virtual Sunday School.
Sunday Bible Class is suspended until after Dec. 6
Catechism Class will be virtual.
We would ask that everyone try to social distance as much as possible. We realize that it is not always possible. We ask that after services those who are leaving clear out and talk outside.
For all of my ministry before March I worked on getting people to stay around and get to know and encourage their brothers and sisters in Christ. This encouragement to disperse is distasteful to me but it follows what we are being told to do. Christian love teaches us to care about not transmitting germs to others so that they remain healthy. Christian love teaches us to encourage one another all the more as we see the day approaching. We are trying to do both as best we can.
